The World: Canberra - Universal McCann retains Govt media business

The Australian Federal Government has retained Universal McCann as its media planning and buying agency following a pitch.

The new contract, which will begin on 1 July, has been awarded to the agency for an initial period of three years, and will ask the agency to help foster closer collaboration across all of the government's departments and agencies.

Henry Tajer, the chief executive of Universal McCann Australia and the president of Universal McCann Asia-Pacific, said: "This reappointment is a testament to our people and their innovative thinking and commitment to our clients."
