The World: Chicago - BBDO and Dell split over conflict with Best Buy

BBDO is parting company with Dell because of conflict with the $200 million Best Buy account, which was won by the network's New York office last month.

The US computer giant is pulling out its consumer broadcast and print business, estimated at $150 million, from BBDO's Atlanta office.

Best Buy deals largely in H-P computers, while Dell sells direct to consumers. There is speculation that the Dell account could go to BBDO's Omnicom stablemate, DDB, in Chicago.
