The World: Chicago - Leo Burnett lands Washington Mutual business

Leo Burnett has won the creative and media planning accounts for the US bank Washington Mutual, which is estimated to be worth in excess of $100 million a year.

The agency, which won the account following a pitch against Seattle's Publicis West and the incumbent, Sedgwick Road, will now work closely with the bank's brand agency, Wolff Olins.

Both companies will be briefed to work together in positioning the bank as one that cares about its customers.
