The World: Chicago - Leo Burnett North America chairman to quit

Cheryl Berman (pictured), the chairman of Leo Burnett North America, has announced that she will be quitting the network.

She will leave at the end of 2006 to develop an independent business model for women's communications services.

Berman, who was the first woman appointed to the Burnett board, became the chief creative officer at Leo Burnett USA in 1997.

Tom Bernadin, the chairman and chief executive of Leo Burnett Worldwide, said: "Cheryl will always be remembered as the one who led the US agency and one of the world's largest creative departments while espousing Leo's values at every turn."
