The World: Chicago - RadioShack awards $200m ad business to BSSP

Butler Shine Stern & Partners has won the RadioShack creative account. BSSP pitched against DDB Chicago, Interpublic's Deutsch, and Modernista!.

Last year, the electronics retailer spent $214.5 million on advertising, but saw its sales continue to fall, for the fourth consecutive year, from $5.1 billion to $4.2 billion (2005-2008).

Lee Applbaum, the RadioShack chief marketing officer, said: "We are confident BSSP will provide the strategically consistent creative we are counting on to evolve our brand's positioning."
