The World: Delhi - Cheil India poaches Agrawal from Bates 141

Cheil India has hired Alok Agrawal as its new chief operating officer.

Agrawal joins Cheil from Bates 141, the merger between Enterprise Nexus and Bates Asia, where he spent five years as its executive vice-president.

While at Bates 141, Agrawal worked on accounts including Sony, General Motors, Nokia and Yamaha.

Speaking about the move, Agrawal said: "This is an exciting time to join Cheil. My main objectives are to build up the agency's capabilities and to make it more competitive in terms of servicing our clients and developing more integrated planning strategies."
