The World: Detroit - GM plans to maintain pre-Chapter 11 adspend level

General Motors, which filed for Chapter 11 protection at the beginning of this month, has announced that it still intends to spend between $40 million and $50 million per month on advertising while in bankruptcy.

The plans, which were revealed by the GM marketer Mark LaNeve on an episode of the online car programme Autoline After Hours, don't differ from the pre-Chapter 11 levels or from the projected spending when the company resumes normal operations later in the year.
