The World: Detroit - Volkswagen hands US creative duties to Deutsch

Volkswagen has hired Deutsch to handle its national and regional creative US advertising business.

The agency won a final shoot-out against Goodby Silverstein & Partners. DDB and Wieden & Kennedy were eliminated at an earlier stage.

Crispin Porter & Bogusky, the incumbent since 2005, declined to repitch for the business.

Deutsch will now be responsible for creating all of Volkswagen's advertising across the US, with an increased emphasis on digital campaigns.
