The World: Fountain Valley - Hyundai hands US task to Goodby, Silverstein

Hyundai, the South Korean car-maker, has named Goodby, Silverstein & Partners as the creative agency for its $600 million US account.

The Omnicom-owned shop takes over the business from The Richards Group in Dallas, which declined to repitch.

Goodby, Silverstein competed for the business against Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, Siltanen & Partners in Santa Monica (which has done project work for Hyundai), Boston's Arnold Worldwide and the New York office of StrawberryFrog.

Jeff Goodby, the agency's co-chairman, said: "This is a great opportunity to share Hyundai's fantastic product stories and push their momentum even further."
