SPCA - Palmer Jarvis DDB Vancouver

This charity campaign for the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is called "some things you can only do with a pet".

Its mission is to remind people about pet adoption by showing friends and family in situations where they try to re-create the human-animal relationship by treating their friends, spouses or flatmates like a pet.

In "roommates", a man sees his flatmate is asleep and lays him across his lap. When his affections extend to rubbing his friend's stomach in a distracted, yet unself-conscious way, the friend/pet wakes up, unamused.

In "husband" a guy starts rubbing his wife's tummy as she chooses a snack from the fridge. She returns his affections with a withering, disdainful look.

Pepperidge Farm is a baked goods brand. These five animated ads feature Jon, the Pepperidge Farm delivery man, dropping off his wares. The campaign comprises four 30-second spots which also appear as 15-second cut-downs, and "centerpiece", one 15-second spot. In "centerpiece", Jon throws a flower arrangement from his table to make way for his Texas Toast while in "spatula delivery" he carries loaves of Farmhouse Bread into a supermarket as though they were straight from the oven.

MERCEDES-BENZ - Springer & Jacoby Paris

Springer & Jacoby Paris has launched a press campaign for Mercedes-Benz's high-performance AMG marque. According to Mercedes, AMG represents quintessential Mercedes-Benz know-how in terms of technology and design, but also has a sporty and dynamic look. "It's the car which embodies a driving fantasy," according to Franck Rey, the creative director. The desire for the car is so powerful that it even inspires grafitti artists on the metro to display a certain deference when wielding the spray can.

THE BRIDGE - Armando Testa Milan

This press campaign by Armando Testa in Milan is entitled "natural exhibitionists". Using elements of nature such as a mushroom which doubles as a woman's hat, the ads draw attention to the brand's organic manufacturing process for which it is renowned. The frog gripping the woman's neck matches her shade of handbag as well as her eyeshadow. Unashamedly Italian, these models look like they're fresh from the Milanese catwalk. The ads appear in titles such as Marie Claire and Elle.
