Nike - DDB France This simple but effective print ad for Nike from DDB Paris keeps the spirit of Nike's perpetual runner alive. The open plain, the execution implies, is your running track, and the horizon is your finish line. The ad was created by Stephane Kaczorowski and Sebastien Skrzypczak using stock footage from the Corbis library. DDB plans to roll it out across Europe, starting with French magazines in September. It will run in other territories later in the autumn.

Bud Light - Downtown Partners Canada

The Toronto-based Downtown Partners is the agency behind the new Olympic-themed campaign for Bud Light. A series of ads shows just how little exercise Bud Light drinkers need to take in order to burn off the calories contained in a bottle of the low-carb lager. Events at the Low Carb Summer Games featured in the series include the gruelling 4xone-metre relay (with a current world record of just 2.04 seconds); the low-jump, where competitors must at least leave the ground, and a group blinking session run by an enthusiastic Lycra-clad instructor.

GP rechargeable batteries - Publicis Malaysia

While they may fall some way short of the Holy Grail of the perpetual-motion machine, the new print and poster executions for GP rechargeable batteries shows how long the AA cells can keep Discmen playing, electric razors trimming and radio-controlled cars running. The campaign was created by Publicis Kuala Lumpur, with illustrations by Eric Chow, Chow Kok Keong and Loo Kok Seng.

Absolut Cut Vodka - McCann Erickson US

Absolut has chosen Canada for the launch of its new ready-mixed vodka-and-tonic drink, Absolut Cut Vodka. The launch campaign, created by McCann Erickson New York, features a drop of liquid that slides down the side of the bottle, only to have its path interrupted by a crystal-cut crevasse at the base of the bottle. Shaking with fear, the droplet takes a look over the edge of the precipice before taking the plunge and diving into the crevasse, releasing the tonic fizz. The US will get the drink - and the ad - later in the year.

Snickers - BBDO US

The Swedish directorial collective Stylewar, from the bi-coastal production company Smuggler, is behind the latest US campaign for Snickers. Three frenetic spots tell the rags-to-riches stories of three different Snickers eaters. "President" sees a hapless chocaholic go from couch potato to boy-band star to president of the United States in the space of just 30 seconds, thanks to a zealous talent spotter, a mis-heard lyric and some clever 3D effects from The Mill, New York. Ads yet to be released in the series will feature a slacker turned into an NFL star, and another idler assume the superhero mantle.
