DirecTV - BBDO US The new campaign for DirecTV, the first from BBDO New York, features a regular television viewer who suddenly finds himself reclining on a bed in a Barry White-styled love nest with the model Carmen Electra nuzzling his ears. As the camera pulls back, Electra is revealed to have the body of the viewer's high-school gym teacher. "Am I dreaming?" he asks. The man from DirecTV confirms that Electra is a figment of his imagination but, unbelievably, the NFL package he has subscribed to is for real.

Cotton - DDB US

Cotton is the imaginatively titled marketing body that represents the US cotton industry, supporting upland cotton growers and importers. It has commissioned a series of print ads on the themes "infinite choices, one fabric" and "you can never have enough". The ads were all shot on location in New York by the photographer Pamela Hanson and feature women dressed in cotton in everyday situations (where the fabric is appropriate).

Dove - Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan

Earlier this year, Taiwan saw the relaunch of Dove shampoo, backed by a TV campaign called "points of view" and "the faces of Dove" outdoor poster, both created by Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan. The outdoor ad is an enormous 30x50-metre shot of a woman used in the TV spot. It was made out of 1,002 women's faces - all of them Dove users who had responded to the call for satisfied customers. Casting for the poster took three weeks. Twenty days of photography and a further ten days in the retouching studio followed before the poster was ready to be hung on the side of a building at the busiest road intersection in Taipei.
