The World: Hong Kong - ABM Amro hires Carat for $16m media brief

ABM Amro, the international bank, has appointed Carat to handle its $16 million regional and Middle East media account. It has also inaugurated a creative review across the 16 markets covered by the media assignment.

The pitch, for which OMD and Zenith were among the shortlisted candidates, was carried out as part of efforts to consolidate the bank's media arrangements into a single agreement.

This comes ahead of a proposed regional branding campaign, which is set to begin later this year.

ABM Amro is the world's 20th-largest bank, with more than 98,000 staff and more than 3,000 branches in more than 60 countries. It has assets of around EUR900 billion.
