The World: Hong Kong - Jaques leaves Y&R Asia chief executive position

Chris Jaques, the chief executive of Young & Rubicam Asia, is leaving after three years at the helm.

His decision follows the appointment of the former chief executive of Y&R Brands Australia, Hamish McLennan (pictured), as the global chief executive of the network. In his previous role, McLennan reported directly to Jaques.

Meanwhile, Y&R Asia has picked up Sony's creative business in the region following a pitch against 10AM Communications and TBWA.

Y&R will create a "Sony rejuvenation" brand campaign as the company attempts to reverse its declining brand equity in the region.
