He will work closely with Keith Smith, TBWA's regional chairman, and take a place on the regional board with a remit to reinvigorate the creative product. His new job title will be creative at large. Merryfield will also continue working closely with the Adidas account, on which he is one of three global creative directors.
Smith said: "John's role is to help make sure we are continuing to produce the same disruptive work that we are renowned for. He can really help us turn up the creative heat in the region."
