The World: Hong Kong - Universal McCann names Lam managing director

Universal McCann Hong Kong has hired Alice Lam, the former chief executive of Maxus Hong Kong and Asia-Pacific, as its managing director.

She replaces Roid Sin, who left last month without a job to go to.

Lam will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the agency and will also have a strong focus on new business. She said she would be driving the agency forward in three specific areas: sustainable communications, accountable creativity and engagement and motivation.

Lam's hiring follows the appointment of David Morgan, the former Mediaedge:cia Asia-Pacific chief executive, as the head of Universal McCann's Asia-Pacific operations.
