The World: Johannesburg - Lobedu Leo Burnett nets govt housing job

Lobedu Leo Burnett has won the South African Department of Housing account in a two-way pitch against TBWA\Hunt Lascaris.

The South African government has pledged to invest $6.7 billion by 2008 to address the nation's housing shortage. Under the terms of the deal, banks will receive a boost to enable them to offer mortgages to lower-earning South Africans, particularly targeting the black majority.

"The Department of Housing is breaking new ground in housing delivery has made positive developments of which it can be proud, and it's our job to make the public aware," the managing director of Lobedu Leo Burnett, Zeona Motshabi (pictured), said.
