The World: Johannesburg - Sasol calls pitch on above-the-line work

Sasol, the South African fuel company, has put all of its above-the-line business out to pitch as part of a periodical tender process.

TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris, which has been the incumbent on the account for the past three years, will be repitching.

Andre Botha, the group corporate affairs manager for Sasol, said the review was not a reflection of the work TBWA has produced for the company.

David Wingfield, the TBWA managing director, added: "Sasol is a thoroughly professional and ethical client and we respect that all suppliers are expected to engage in a review and competitive tender every three years. We salute our client's commitment to best practice in everything it does. The review was expected and we are looking forward to engaging in the process."
