The World: Kiev BBC launches Ukrainian edition of its Olive magazine

Olive, the BBC food and travel magazine, is launching in Ukraine. It will be the first international version of the title since it launched in the UK in 2004.

The first edition will be published on 1 September in conjunction with the local publisher Publishing House 3v.

Focusing on recipes, eating out, travel and lifestyle, the Ukrainian edition of the magazine will contain 60 per cent UK content and 40 per cent local input.

James Hewes, the BBC Magazines global licensing manager, commented: "This is a brilliant opportunity to reach out into the food market overseas, and also for Ukrainians to share the Western love of travelling."
