The World: Kuala Lumpur - Burnett loses Malaysia Airlines to Publicis

Leo Burnett Malaysia has relinquished its eight-year hold on the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) account.

The creative business has now been moved into Publicis in the region. However, owing to a spending freeze instigated earlier in the year, it is unclear how much MAS will be spending.

The resignation of the business follows the departure of key members of the Leo Burnett team, including the group brand director, Tunku Din, and the account manager, Elisa Chiang.

Kamal Gangaram, the creative director on the account, has moved to Publicis with the business.

Leo Burnett's sister agency Arc will retain digital and interactive duties on the MAS account.
