The World: Kuala Lumpur - OMD and Carat square up for AirAsia account

AirAsia is putting its regional media account up for review in a move that will pitch OMD, the incumbent on the business, against Carat.

Kathleen Tan, the airline's regional head of commercial, said: "As a publicly listed company, we need to have a tender and agency review every two years. It's time we try to see a fresh partner to take the business to the next level."

Air Asia currently handles its creative in-house but is working with the London start-up Adam & Eve on branding.

The move coincides with AirAsia's expansion into China and the launch of a long-haul offshoot called AirAsia X.
