The World: Kuala Lumpur - Proton review hit by agency withdrawals

A global ad review by the Malaysian car-maker Proton has been hit by the withdrawal of two major agency groups.

Leo Burnett cited conflict with its regionally aligned General Motors client, while Ogilvy & Mather said it could not meet the tight pitch deadlines.

Agencies have had just three weeks to prepare a brief for the struggling brand.

McCann, the incumbent, M&C Saatchi, JWT and TBWA-ISC\Malaysia remain in contention.
