The World: Los Angeles - Chiat\Day wins Sara Lee in four-way shoot-out

TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles has scooped Sara Lee Food & Beverages' consolidated $80 million (£42 million) creative advertising account, which now includes its Sara Lee and Hillshire Farm brands.

Kim Feil, the senior vice-president and chief marketing officer of Sara Lee, said: "We are looking forward to a creative partnership with Chiat\Day to drive continued growth for one of the most recognised and respected consumer food brands in the world."

The appointment follows a four-way pitch that included the incumbent, Publicis New York, which handled the Sara Lee Deli & Bakery and Earthgrains Breads businesses; Omnicom's Element 79 in Chicago, which ran the Hillshire Farm account; and Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.
