The World: Los Angeles - McCann dropped as IHOP rethinks creative

IHOP, the US chain of pancake-themed restaurants and the owner of the Applebee's chain, is reviewing the creative assignment on its $80 million account out of McCann Erickson.

The McCann Los Angeles office has handled the business for five years.

The Applebee's account is with McCann in New York and is not involved in the review.

Richard Mahan, the lead creative on the IHOP business, left McCann in July to set up his own agency, Tactic, in Santa Monica. Simon Little, who ran the IHOP account, quit last month.
