The World: Madrid - Mina to take charge of Lowe in European markets

Lowe Worldwide has appointed Basil Mina (pictured) as its regional creative cluster leader. He will assume responsibility for the agency's offices in Central and Eastern Europe.

Based in Madrid, Mina is the former regional creative director for Leo Burnett EMEA. He will support Lowe Worldwide's chief creative officer, Matthew Bull.

Mina started his advertising career in 1986 at Hunt Lascaris TBWA in Johannesburg before moving to Leo Burnett in the early 90s.

Bull said: "Basil's knowledge and experience will help us nurture the talent we have in the markets he'll be responsible for, particularly the re-emerging markets of central Europe."
