The World: Melbourne - Carat wins $25m Disney media in Australia

Disney has hired Carat Melbourne to handle its $25 million media planning and buying account in Australia, after a pitch against Starcom.

Mindshare, the incumbent on the account for the past 11 years, did not take part in the process.

Carat will now be responsible for handling planning, buying and digital across all media for Disney.

The agency already looks after the entertainment brand's media business in several European markets, including the UK, France and Spain.

Starcom holds the business in the US, and last week was also awarded Disney's media business in India.
