The World: Milan Corriere della Sera and Il Sole 24 Ore in freesheet war

The publishers of the Italian newspapers Corriere della Sera and II Sole 24 Ore are launching rival freesheets in Italy.

Anteprema is a free afternoon paper, and has been launched alongside the Corriere della Sera in a bid to boost sales of the main newspaper. It has a print run of 100,000 and is distributed at 5pm Monday to Friday.

II Sole 24 Ore will launch its freesheet next month in Milan and Rome. Called Free 24, it will cover economy, finance, culture, sports and entertainment.
