The World: Milan - Italian media agencies announce new senior faces

Italy's media agencies are continuing to experience high turnover at senior level, with new leaders set for MediaCom, Starcom and Universal McCann.

Alessandro Cortellazzo has quit as the chief executive of MediaCom Italy. He will be replaced by Attilio Redivo from BBS Maxus. Cortellazzo will stay as the vice-chairman during the transitional period.

At Starcom Italia, Fabio Ferrara, the general manager, is leaving to join Aegis as the managing director of its dedicated General Motors division. The Starcom directors Boaz Rosenburg (Milan), Marta Farneti (Rome), Ilvo Gannio (Turin) and Giancarlo Pesserelli (Bologna) will run the group until a replacement can be found.

Giorgio Rossi is ending a 36-year career at McCann WorldGroup by retiring as Universal McCann's managing director. He will be replaced by Gianfranco Piccolo.
