The World: Minneapolis - Hardie takes over as new Fallon planning boss

Fallon has named Murray Hardie as its new planning director, after he spent three years working on some of the agency's biggest clients.

Hardie, 43, who will head a 15-strong department, has been working on the agency's Citi financial services business, as well as developing initiatives for the InterContinental Hotel Group brands Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.

Bill Westbrook, the vice-chairman of Fallon, said: "Murray is superbly talented, particularly in understanding our culture and how to develop a partnership with the client to bring about great creative work that delivers results to the brand."

Hardie said he was determined to build on Fallon's strong planning culture.
