The World: Moscow - International Herald Tribune launches in Russia

From 1 February, the International Herald Tribune will be printed and distributed with the Moscow Times.

The deal, which sees the IHT enter its fourth new market in 12 months, represents the first time an international newspaper has been published in Russia.

The paper will initially be available on weekdays in Moscow only, but a roll-out across the rest of Russia should be completed by the summer.

Didier Brun, the senior vice-president and strategy development director at the IHT, said: "Coming right on the heels of IHT print site launches in Ireland, Egypt and Turkey, this important deal in Russia is only the latest development for the IHT's printing network globally and represents our ninth publishing accord worldwide."
