The World: Moscow - Shorkey nets chief executive role at Publicis

Publicis United Moscow has appointed Derek Shorkey as its new chief executive.

Shorkey joins Publicis from McCann Vancouver, where he held the role of managing director.

Shorkey's move to Russia is the second time that he has worked in Moscow, having been employed there by McCann Erickson as a group account director during the mid-90s.

Nazim Valimahomed, the executive chairman of Publicis United, said: "I am confident that Eugene Radewych, the chief creative officer, and Derek will form a remarkable partnership that is bound to have a positive impact on our clients' business."
