The World: Mumbai - Allianz enters Indian market with TBWA campaign

TBWA\Mumbai has won the creative account for the European insurance and financial services group Allianz, as the company moves into the Indian market.

The first campaign will promote Allianz's sponsorship of the forthcoming India versus Pakistan cricket series, which will now be called the Allianz Cup.

Following the tournament, a nationwide TV and multimedia campaign will launch the brand across the country.

Kurien Mathews, the managing director of TBWA\India, said: "Allianz is one of the world's largest insurers. You can expect to see quite a lot of the Allianz brands in India in the coming months. We are working closely with the company's marketing teams in Munich and at Bajaj Allianz, based in Pune, to build the global flagship brand here."
