The World: Mumbai - BBC Worldwide launches Top Gear magazine

BBC Worldwide is launching Top Gear magazine in India in a joint venture with the Times of India Group and the publisher World Wide Media.

The magazine will target an urban, middle-class audience and will include more lifestyle content and less motoring content than its British counterpart.

Top Gear will compete with the Indian publications Autocar, BS Motoring, Overdrive, Car India and Bike India. World Wide Media is looking to launch more UK magazines into India, believed to be an under-penetrated and under-supplied market.
