The World: Mumbai - Interpublic acquires full stake in Lintas India

Interpublic has completed a buy-out of Lintas India. The group has acquired the remaining 51 per cent of the equity previously not under its control and will integrate the agency into its Lowe network.

The deal extends the 40-year relationship between IPG and the agency, whose clients include Hindustan Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Tata and Berger paints.

Steve Gatfield, the Lowe Worldwide chief executive, said: "This deal will allow us to expediate development of Lintas India's integrated businesses through closer networking with IPG's specialised organisations abroad."
