The World: Mumbai - Media Transasia to publish Indian Maxim edition

The men's lifestyle magazine Maxim is launching in India in November under an exclusive licence agreement with Media Transasia.

It will be the 30th international edition of the magazine, which sells more than four million copies globally every month.

Richard Bean, the Maxim international licensing director, said: "Everyone is aware of the size of the Indian market, but the vitality and hunger is difficult to comprehend unless one has spent time there. There is also a dearth of true men's lifestyle magazines."

Launch parties to promote the magazine will be held in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata.
