The World: Mumbai - Omnicom hires Keki Dadiseth as chairman of India

The Omnicom Group has appointed the former Unilever director, Keki Dadiseth, as the non-executive chairman of its India operations.

Reporting to Michael Birkin (pictured), Omnicom's Asia chairman, he will take overall responsibility for the network's client list, as well as bedding in Omnicom's recently acquired Indian marketing services company, Gotocustomer.

Birkin said: "Dadiseth has a wealth of experience in both the agency world and in the major branded goods business."

Dadiseth, who retired in 2005, was the chairman of Hindustan Lever before becoming the director of Unilever's home and personal care portfolio in 2001.
