The World: Mumbai - Zee Telefilms hikes ad rates across TV portfolio

The Indian broadcaster Zee Telefilms is raising its advertising rates by between 20 and 40 per cent.

The increase has been announced in response to the buoyancy of the Indian ad market and increased demand for content. It will apply to its flagship Hindi entertainment channel, Zee TV, as well as its English-language channels.

Zee Telefilms is currently undergoing a programme of expansion and earlier this week launched a local-language channel in Indonesia as part of an agreement with Malaysia's Astro All Asia Networks. It is also expanding into Afghanistan, with the launch of a channel in Kabul scheduled for April.
