The World: New York - Ad boycott after US show's 'racist Obama' rant

Some of the biggest advertisers in the US have withdrawn their sponsorship from Fox's The Glenn Beck Program, following a controversial episode in which Beck accused President Obama of being racist.

Brands including Geico and LexisNexis have announced that they will be dropping their ads from the show; however, the majority have signalled that they will be redistributing their funding to other programmes on the network.

Beck came under fire recently for comments on his show in which he described Obama as a "racist" who had a "hatred for white people".
