The World: New York - AT&T accuses rival of inaccurate claims in ads

AT&T, the telephone service provider, has filed a lawsuit against Verizon Wireless after the company released a series of ads that supposedly illustrated AT&T's weaker 3G coverage.

The ads, which feature the tagline "There's a map for that", show two different maps of the US. One map shows Verizon's 3G wireless network coverage, while the other, which consists of a large amount of white space, allegedly shows AT&T's reach.

AT&T claims that the white space could mislead the consumer into thinking that in those areas there is no coverage at all, which the company says is inaccurate.
