The World: New York - BBDO NY joins Hertz roster to handle strategic role

Hertz, the world's biggest car rental company, has added BBDO New York to its roster with a brief to handle new strategic initiatives.

Included in the assignment are Atmosphere BBDO and OMD Digital, which will handle all online creative development, website consulting, online media planning and buying.

Brian Kennedy, the executive vice-president of marketing and sales at Hertz, cited BBDO's "understanding of the business and our needs, its strategic thinking, creativity and energy" as the reason for the appointment.

John Osborn, BBDO New York's chief executive, said: "We are flattered and appreciative to have earned a seat at the strategic table with Hertz."
