The World: New York - Broadcast TV ad revenue drops 4 per cent in Q2

Analysis by the Television Bureau of Advertising has shown that total broadcast TV advertising revenue fell 4 per cent in the second quarter of 2008, and 1.3 per cent for the first half of the year.

Network TV advertising revenue fell 9.1 per cent in the quarter. The news comes as UBS lowered its domestic ad revenue growth estimates for the large entertainment companies to 2.9 per cent and 0.7 per cent from 4.1 per cent and 2.5 per cent respectively.
