The World: New York - Burger King set to increase adspend in 2010

Burger King will increase its US advertising spend by between 20 to 25 per cent in 2010.

Russ Klein, Burger King's president, global marketing, strategy and innovation, said the decision to increase its media presence next year would enable the fast food chain to "continue its record positive comparable sales growth trend".

The chain plans to allocate current restaurant funds to its national advertising in order to support new products and value offers. In 2008, Burger King's media spend was $272 million.
