The World: New York - Champniss to quit entertainment role at MPG

Guy Champniss, the global director of branded entertainment at Media Planning Group, is leaving the agency.

He joined the Havas-owned shop in April 2005, taking on responsibility for overseeing MPG Entertainment, as well as other content-related units.

During his two-year tenure, he set up the global content development unit B6, which offered MPG's clients branded programming opportunities and replaced MPG Entertainment's offering.

Before joining MPG, Champniss' career included a seven-year stint as a producer for the BBC.
