The World: New York - Cliff Freeman & Partners goes out of business

Cliff Freeman & Partners, the iconic US advertising shop, has closed its doors after 22 years.

The agency, which has produced some of the most famous US ad campaigns, including "where's the beef?" for Wendy's and "pizza! pizza!" for Little Caesars, has been forced to shut following a turbulent year, that saw the departure of Clayton Ruebensaal, the chief executive, and Gail Hoffman Frusciante, the chief financial officer.

Following the closure, Baskin-Robbins, the agency's only remaining client, has announced that it will be kicking off a search for a new agency partner in the next few weeks.
