The World: New York - Creston to close the doors on its NY operation

Creston, the owner of Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners and Tullo Marshall Warren, is shutting its New York office and losing its US chief executive, Steve Blamer.

Blamer, the former chief executive of FCB Worldwide, was hired last April by Don Elgie, the Creston chief executive. Blamer was charged with acquiring PR, advertising, digital and direct marketing agencies with a view to building up a US operation similar to that of Creston UK.

However, the company has now sited increased global economic uncertainty as the reason for its reversal in policy. It will instead promote the Creston offer to US clients from its London head office.
