The World: New York - Delta moves $50m business from O&M to SS+K

Delta Airlines has parted company with Ogilvy & Mather just 18 months after handing the agency its account.

The $50 million business will now be rolled into SS+K, the New York agency that handles creative tasks for Delta's subsidiary company, Song.

O&M won the account in October 2004 following a pitch against BBDO, Lowe and JWT.

Paul Matsen, the chief marketing officer, who recently left Delta, handled the pitch and appointed O&M.

Matsen's responsibilities have since been handed to Delta's chief operating officer, Jim Whitehurst.
