The World: New York - Deutsch to handle $135m J&J cold relief brand

Johnson & Johnson has extended its relationship with Deutsch by appointing the agency to handle media planning on its $135 million Tylenol pain and cold relief brand.

Universal McCann, which, like Deutsch, is owned by Interpublic, had previously handled media planning on the business. It will retain the media buying assignment. The switch was made without a pitch.

Deutsch was appointed to handle creative work on Tylenol in November 2003, taking over from Saatchi & Saatchi, which had run the account for more than 30 years.
