The World: New York - Hershey to split from roster shops O&M and DDB

The confectionery manufacturer Hershey has announced it is parting ways with its long-time roster agencies Ogilvy & Mather and DDB.

Arnold Worldwide, another roster agency, will take up most of the extra work and will now look after all of the company's core chocolate brands.

However, O&M released a statement saying that because of "an emerging conflict with other Ogilvy clients", it was resigning its part of the $136 million Hershey account.

North Castle Communications, the final agency on the Hershey roster, will continue to work on the company's sugar confectionery brands, which include Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers and Ice Breakers. Media buying, which is held by OMD, is unaffected by the restructure.
