The World: New York - Initiative wins Home Depot following four-way pitch

Initiative has retained the media duties on the Home Depot account following a pitch against Mindshare, Carat and ZenithOptimedia.

The agency also added the digital media element of the business, which was previously handled by Digitas.

Initiative has worked with Home Depot since 1992. Last year, the retailer spent nearly $600 million on advertising.

The media review followed the completion of a creative review, which took place towards the end of last year. The Richards Group, an independent shop based in Dallas, successfully defended the business.
