The World: New York - Interpublic beats WPP in GlaxoSmithKline pitch

The Interpublic Group has picked up a number of GlaxoSmithKline brands after a two-way pitch against WPP.

The products, which stretch across pharmaceutical categories such as diabetes, asthma and flu medication, were previously shared between the WPP Group agencies Thomas Ferguson Associates and Grey Healthcare, which lost the $100 million Advair account.

The business will now move into three IPG shops: FCB Healthcare, Regan Campbell Ward McCann and Torre Lazure McCann.
